Take That star 'writes songs in his sleep'
Mark Owen often dreams new songs while asleep.
Take That star Mark Owen has said that he has written some of his best songs in his sleep.
In an interview on a new Take That DVD, pop star Mark said that he often woke up at night to sing lyrics into a Dictaphone that he keeps by his bedside in case inspiration takes hold.
"When I wake up in the morning it's just me mumbling and falling asleep - but when I'm dreaming I hear all the string arrangements and everything," he said.
He said one of the things that concerned him most about his nighttime compositions was making sure he did not wake up his fiance, reports Digital Spy.
Mark is certainly not the only artist to be struck by musical inspiration in the middle of the night.
Beatles star Paul McCartney famously came up with the tune for Yesterday when he heard it in one of his dreams.
